An individual has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal collision in Caledon.
At about 5:30 a.m. on March 19th, officers responded to a serious collision near the intersection of Caledon/East Garafraxa Town-Line and 19 Line in Caledon. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf, operated by the accused, and a Chevrolet Impala.
The driver of the Impala sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accused sustained significant injuries and was transported to a trauma centre for treatment.
At the request of the OPP, Peel Regional Police conducted the investigation into the collision. As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old male from Guelph was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation Causing Death on August 17th.
