Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the OPP have charged an individual following a fail to remain collision investigation.
On July 26th at about 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on the northbound Highway 410 off-ramp at Hurontario Street, in Caledon. The vehicle, a black Tesla SUV, collided with a guardrail and entered a ditch, before the driver was seen fleeing on foot toward Treeview Crescent. Following an investigation, a 63-year-old male from Brampton was charged with:
- Fail to remain
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 3, 2026, to answer to their charges.
