Spring is here and that means the Orangeville Parks team is gearing up for one of their biggest seasonal tasks—grass cutting.
Over 210 acres of grass and more than 97 acres of green space, with seven dedicated staff to keep it looking great.
The teams work on sports fields, park lands and Town-owned boulevards once the ground is dry enough. They work through them on a rotation that takes about nine days to complete. This can take longer if we experience extended periods of rain. If the ground is too soggy, our equipment can damage the ground.
