Dufferin OPP will be engaging with the community in downtown Orangeville this weekend as part of ongoing efforts to promote public safety and crime prevention initiatives.
On Saturday, officers will be on Broadway in the downtown core of Orangeville to speak with local business owners about several important safety campaigns currently being promoted.
These initiatives include:
• CAMSafe – encouraging residents and businesses to register their security cameras to assist police during investigations
• Lock It or Lose It – reminding the public to secure vehicles and valuables to prevent theft
• Safeguard – promoting general crime prevention strategies to enhance community safety
• Additional community-focused policing initiatives aimed at reducing crime and increasing public awareness
Officers will be available to answer questions, provide educational materials, and discuss practical steps the public can take to help protect themselves and their property.
