Dufferin OPP charge Erin resident with impaired operation following traffic complaint

Dufferin OPP has charged an Erin resident with impaired operation following a traffic complaint.

On March 29th at about 830pm,  officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of County Road 16 in Amaranth. While patrolling for the suspect vehicle, officers received a second call regarding a disturbance at a local dining establishment on Broadway in Orangeville.

Officers attended the scene and determined the individual involved in the disturbance was the same person connected to the earlier traffic complaint. After speaking with the female, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old resident of Erin, has been charged with:

·      Operation while impaired –

·      Assault

And

·      Driving  with an open container of liquor
