(DUFFERIN COUNTY) – Dufferin OPP have charged an Orangeville resident with multiple offences after a male fled from a traffic stop.
On March 18, at about 1:00 a.m., Dufferin OPP initiated a traffic stop after observing a motorist proceed through a red light. While the vehicle was stopped, the male exited and fled on foot. Officers were able to safely bring the situation under control and take the individual into custody.
As a result of the investigation, A 44-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with:
• Obstruct peace officer
• Driving while under suspension
• Drive a vehicle with cannabis readily available
