Dufferin OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying individuals responsible for stealing road signs throughout the Township of Amaranth.
Over the past week, Township staff have seen a disturbing increase in missing or damaged road signs, including stop signs. Removing or tampering with these signs is not only a criminal offence, but it also puts every road user at serious risk.
This isn’t a harmless prank. Stealing a road sign can be the difference between life and death. No sign is worth putting on your garage wall or cashing in for scrap metal.
