Families looking for fun this Family Day can head to Alder Recreation Centre in Orangeville for a full afternoon of free activities.
The Town of Orangeville’s Recreation team is hosting its 2026 Family Day celebration from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., featuring free skating and swimming for families, along with a professional photo booth, face painting and kids’ crafts (while supplies last).
The Alder Branch Library will be open during the event, and 519 Sports and Snacks concession will also be open for those looking to grab a bite to eat.
Free family skating will take place on both the Red and Green rinks, with sledges available. Online registration is available for 50 per cent of spots, with the remaining spaces reserved for drop-in participants.
Red rink skating times:
- 11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.
- 1:00 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.
Green rink skating times:
- 11:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.
Free family swimming is also available, with registration recommended. Swim times are:
- 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Online registration is encouraged to secure a spot, as space is limited.
