Carbon Monoxide Detector rules are changing January 1st, 2026

Attention Caledon homeowners and landlords — new carbon monoxide alarm rules come into effect on New Years Day Jan 1st, 2026. If your home has a fuel-burning appliance,   a fireplace,   an attached garage, or heated air that comes from a fuel-burning appliance outside the home, you MUST have a carbon Monoxide alarm.
