OPP to be active across Caledon this coming weekend

Expect increased OPP presence across Caledon this coming weekend. Officers will be targeting unsafe driving behaviour to help keep everyone safe. As we head into the final long weekend of summer, the OPP is urging all road users to make safety a priority. Whether you’re driving, boating, paddling, or hitting the trails, your actions matter. 214 lives lost on OPP-patrolled roads this year, many due to speeding, impaired driving, inattention, and not wearing seatbelts. These are preventable tragedies.  Boaters, paddlers, and off-roaders, wear your lifejackets and helmets. They’re your best chance of surviving a serious incident.  With school starting next week, let’s use this weekend to recommit to safe, responsible travel! if you see a dangerous or impaired driver, call 9-1-1.
