July may have just ended, but some students in Caledon are already back in school.
Tony Pontes Public School is a K-8 elementary school that follows a “balanced calendar” schedule, which means students get a shorter summer break in exchange for more breaks throughout the school year.
TPPS is one of the only three schools in Peel Region that follows this system, the other two being Ray Lawson Public School and Roberta Bondar Public School, both in Brampton. The first day of school for these students was on July 28.
